I highly recommend you see "33 Variations" written and directed by Moises Kaufman starring Jane Fonda downtown at the Ahmanson Theater before it closes March 6th! The entire cast and production was outstanding! The role of Ludwig Van Beethoven usually played by Zach Grenier was wonderfully played by Michael Winther. Rush tickets are available on the day of the of the show for only $20 - they call them hot tickets. I rented a pair of binoculars for only $5 and from my balcony seat I saw the show just fine. A total of just $25 to see Jane Fonda, Samantha Mathis, Michael Winther, Don Amendolia, Susan Kellermann, Greg Keller, Grant James Varjas, pianist Diane Walsh, Scott Burrow, Caitlin O'Connell and Yvonne Woods Slaten on the stage! Many of the cast members have been with the production as it's been developed over the past 7 years. Ms. Fonda was nominated for a Tony Award for her performance as Dr. Katherine Brandt on Broadway and it's easy to see why... She is incredible.... Talk about a memorable night at the theater!

Bonsoir.... So sad to hear about the passing of legendary film star Jane Russell 1921- 2011. A private funeral will be held mid March in Santa Maria. I heard Jane speak a few times and she was truly amazing. Condolences to her family and loved ones.
